CANADIAN PRECISION RIFLE ASSOCIATION
STICKER DRAW OFFICIAL RULES AND REGULATIONS
Prize: One $3,000 CAD gift certificate toward a custom rifle build with Red Deer Shooting Centre’s Shield Rifleworks Division.
Draw Date: September 15, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. Mountain Time.
If all stickers are sold before the scheduled draw date, the Canadian Precision Rifle Association reserves the right to hold the draw earlier. If the draw date is moved earlier, reasonable notice will be provided before the draw takes place.
1. Contest Period
The Canadian Precision Rifle Association sticker draw, the “Draw”, begins on the date the sticker draw is officially opened and ends on September 15, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. Mountain Time, unless all available stickers are sold earlier and the draw is moved forward by the Sponsor.
The winner will be selected by random draw and announced on or before September 15, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Mountain Time, unless the draw is held earlier.
2. Eligibility
The Draw is open to residents of Canada who have reached the legal age of majority in their province or territory of residence.
Employees, directors, and officers of the Canadian Precision Rifle Association, the “Sponsor”, are not eligible to win.
The winner must have a valid and current Possession and Acquisition Licence, “PAL”, issued by the RCMP and the Canadian Firearms Program in order to claim the prize. The Sponsor may require proof of eligibility before the prize is awarded.
Quebec residents may participate, but may be required to claim or redeem the prize outside of Quebec, subject to applicable laws and the requirements of the participating businesses.
3. Agreement to Be Legally Bound
By participating in the Draw, each entrant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and Regulations, the applicable website terms and conditions, and all decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding in all matters relating to the Draw.
4. How to Enter
During the Draw period, each purchase of one Canadian Precision Rifle Association sticker provides the purchaser with one entry into the Draw.
No purchase is required to enter or win. To enter without purchase, an eligible entrant may submit a hand-written essay of at least 1,000 words on the topic: “Why Shooting Sports Are Important to You.” The essay must include the entrant’s full name, mailing address, telephone number, email address, date of birth, and confirmation that the entrant holds a valid PAL. The essay must be mailed to the Canadian Precision Rifle Association at the mailing address listed in the footer of the official website.
Each valid no-purchase entry will receive one entry into the Draw.
Entrants must be 18 years of age or older, and must also meet the age of majority requirement in their province or territory of residence.
5. Prize
The prize is one $3,000 CAD gift certificate redeemable toward a custom rifle build with Red Deer Shooting Centre’s Shield Rifleworks Division.
The prize is not a direct transfer, sale, or delivery of a firearm by the Canadian Precision Rifle Association. The winner is receiving a gift certificate only. Any firearm build, purchase, transfer, registration, licensing verification, shipping, pickup, or related transaction will be handled separately by Red Deer Shooting Centre’s Shield Rifleworks Division and/or any other properly licensed party, in accordance with all applicable Canadian firearms laws and regulations.
The winner must hold a valid PAL and must satisfy all legal and regulatory requirements before redeeming the gift certificate toward any firearm-related product or service.
The gift certificate has a value of $3,000 CAD. Any costs, taxes, duties, shipping, transfer fees, brokerage fees, licensing requirements, compliance requirements, upgrades, options, accessories, or additional charges exceeding the value of the gift certificate are the sole responsibility of the winner.
The prize has no cash value, is not redeemable for cash, and is non-transferable unless approved in writing by the Sponsor.
6. Winner Selection, Notification, and Prize Claim
The winner will be selected by random draw from all eligible entries received during the Draw period.
The Sponsor will attempt to notify the selected winner by email and/or telephone using the contact information provided at the time of entry. The Sponsor will make up to five attempts to contact the selected winner.
The selected winner must respond and successfully complete all required eligibility verification within 48 hours of being contacted. This may include confirming identity, age, residency, PAL status, and compliance with these Official Rules and Regulations.
If the selected winner cannot be contacted, does not respond within the required time, is found to be ineligible, does not hold a valid PAL, or otherwise fails to comply with these rules, the Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify that entrant and conduct a new random draw from the remaining eligible entries.
Once the prize has been successfully claimed and awarded, the Draw will be considered complete.
7. Compliance With Laws
The Draw is intended to comply with applicable Canadian laws and regulations. The Sponsor reserves the right to modify, suspend, cancel, or terminate the Draw if required by law, regulation, administrative issue, technical issue, or any circumstance beyond the Sponsor’s reasonable control.
All firearm-related requirements, including licensing, eligibility, transfer, possession, shipping, and pickup requirements, are the responsibility of the winner and the licensed business completing any applicable firearm-related transaction.
8. Limitation of Liability
By entering the Draw, entrants release and hold harmless the Sponsor, Red Deer Shooting Centre, Shield Rifleworks Division, and their respective directors, officers, employees, volunteers, representatives, agents, and partners from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, or expenses arising from participation in the Draw, acceptance or use of the prize, or inability to claim or redeem the prize.
9. Sponsor
The Sponsor of the Draw is the Canadian Precision Rifle Association.
This Draw is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with any social media platform on which it may be promoted.
