What is CAPRA?
CAPRA is the Official Governing Body for Precision Rifle Shooting Sports in Canada
Founded in 2020, CAPRA is the Canadian Precision Rifle Association, the National Association affiliated with the International Precision Rifle Federation (IPRF).
This board was initiated by current board members Ryan Maclean and Josh Botha. Yanick Sab Leblanc joined the CAPRA board in 2022 as representation for the Eastern part of Canada, while Dave Gheriani offers support within the Central and Western Regions. Joining the board for the 2024 season is Carlee Krtolica.
All 5 of these members will be the selection committee and representing CAPRA members for Team Canada in both the IPRF Precision Rifle World Championship (Centerfire) and the IPRF Rimfire World Championship.
To take part in the Precision Rifle World Championships, athletes are required to qualify within their affiliated IPRF National Associations. Each affiliated IPRF National Association sets their own qualification requirements.
Les 2 membres officiels siégant auprès de l’IPRF depuis 2022 sont Yanick Sab Leblanc, représentant l’Est du Canada, et Dave Gheriani, représentant le centre et l’Ouest de Canada. Sont appuyés par les instigateurs du mouvement Canadian depuis les débuts de l’IPRF en 2021, Ryan McLean et Josh Botha. Puis s’est jointe à l’équipe en 2023 afin d’appuyer CAPRA dans son développement, Carlee Krtolica.
À eux 5, ils représentent la gestion du CAPRA pour l’année 2024 et siégeront sur le comité de sélection pour Team Canada Centerfire et Rimfire pour la compétition internationale de l’IPRF.
